Hauer's got it: Haushahn elevators
When it comes to elevators for residential or commercial buildings, people in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are likely to instantly come up with a handful of brand names. And one of them is probably Haushahn: As one of the most traditional companies in the field of passenger elevators and freight elevators, Haushahn has built an excellent reputation over many years. Today Haushahn is still one of the leading suppliers of elevators. It goes without saying that spare parts for Haushahn’s elevators - from guides and brakes to handles, drives or rollers - are available at the Hauer elevatorshop.

Haushahn’s company history dates far back: As early as in 1873 Carl Haushahn founded a mechanical workshop, and in 1895 his first elevators were built in Stuttgart. They carried their own specially developed electric drives. It was the starting point of an almost incomparable success story, as Haushahn is still an important name in the elevator industry today.
The company was soon able to leave its mark in elevator history: First, it introduced the button control system, which was highly innovative back then. And in 1922, its elevators were installed in high-rise buildings – for example, at the Stuttgart train station. That was a first in Germany! The first German high-speed elevators were also made by the traditional Swabian company. The Swabian tinkerers have also always been at the forefront in the development of folding doors, revolving doors and other spare parts.
Freight elevators and passenger transport worldwide
Today, Haushahn elevators are installed all over the world and transport people just as safely and effectively as they do loads - plus they are available in virtually any size. The company is regarded as one of the leading suppliers on all continents, especially for freight elevators: Whether for the transport of small goods or even cars – Haushahn produces individual lifts for practically every need.
Haushahn has repeatedly set new standards in vertical passenger transport. In 1960, the traditional company achieved a real milestone: The first glass panoramic lift was covered by newspapers from all over the world. For Haushahn this advertising was highly welcome, as its technically leading elevator products with the attractive design then became famous.
Whether functional or elegant – Haushahn still combines innovation and tradition. The Stuttgart-Feuerbach-based company, which has been part of Schindler Holding AG since 1998, still makes all customer wishes come true: No matter whether the construction of new facilities is pending, buildings are to be modernised or whether sophisticated design is required - for example, when adapting the style to historical buildings.
Small goods transport: international leader
Haushahn has gained a leading international position in the field of small goods elevators - for example with its cargoLine lift. This small goods elevator easily transports up to 300 kilograms payload, and does so extremely quickly and reliably. Whether it is a matter of transporting files in public authorities, containers in offices and industrial plants or food in the catering industry: This elevator is based on a well thought-out modular system and can therefore be easily used in many areas. One unusual feature is the possibility of using the cargoLine as a file lift with automatic cabin emptying – thanks to a tiltable cabin floor including overflow protection.
Perfect for industry and trade: maxxLine
With its maxxLine product, Haushahn offers a freight elevator that meets the special requirements of trade and industry. This functional, high-quality freight elevator is extremely efficient – and of first-class workmanship.
Haushahn also offers several products for passenger transport. Its designLine is particularly stylish: This passenger elevator is particularly suitable for commercial buildings or hotels, as it easily adapts to the architecture of the building. designLine is customizable thanks to its variable cabin height – and can be deployed universally. This also makes it the ideal lift for hospitals and modern care facilities. Its flexible use of space allows it to adapt perfectly to its surroundings, covering heights of up to 150 metres quickly and, above all, very quietly.
designLine: The high-performance elevator
The designLine high-performance elevator also scores when it comes to comfort. How so? Its innovative and practical central suspension system ensures low-vibration travel. With this highly efficient drive system, the great lift also saves almost a third of the energy compared to conventional products. And that’s not all: The regenerative drive can even feed energy back into the in-house power grid! And if there is no one in the cabin, the lift automatically goes into eco mode.
If you are looking for is safe, quiet and comfortable transport for up to fifteen people in buildings of up to ten floors, lifeEdition by Haushahn is your choice! This gem comes with all the amenities of modern vertical transport. With a speed of up to one metre per second, it is the ideal solution for modern residential buildings. lifeEdition is also an easy choice, as it is available in four cabin sizes – and is also suitable for wheelchairs and stretchers. The choice is even greater in terms of design, as the highly standardised solution for modern living offers five design versions, all of which are economical in operation, which is partly due to their smooth belt drive.
Optimal shaft utilization, flexible cabin dimensions, spacious elevator cabs, modern drive systems and gentle brakes – these are the innovations that Haushahn, as an ultra-modern company, presents today. In Stuttgart, from where the company is active on all continents, Haushahn has been giving thought to solutions for residential buildings with clear room height, in which the shaft geometry can be decisive. The flexible lifeLine product was specially developed as a solution for these buildings. Its short shaft head even makes roof extensions unnecessary. This means that the overall costs of building or renovating a house can be considerably reduced – simply by choosing the right type of lift.

Hauer has components for cabins and revolving doors as well as all kinds of guides, rollers and handles.
