Hauer's got it: Elevator spare parts by IGV
When engineer Giuseppe Volpe founded his company in 1966, he had a vision: He wanted to change the world of elevators. So he combined the first letter of his degree and his initials to form a company name and got to work: He started by manufacturing pressure switches and later added electrical devices for automatic doors. His initial successes proved him right - and he expanded his product portfolio. The spare parts and accessories produced by the small company near Milan quickly became bestsellers. And guess what happened next? Giuseppe Volpe and his team began to build entire elevators. Today you can find spare parts for IGV’s elevators at Hauer’s elevatorshop.

Well over fifty years later, the IGV Group is considered the market leader in the development and production of lifting platforms and hydraulic lifts with minimum spatial requirements for floor pan and headboard. The company has grown into an international enterprise that is active in over seventy countries around the world - but is still managed by the Volpe family.
Today IGV has a production area of over 22,000 square meters and is still located in the greater Milan area. The excellent quality of its products, a good seventy percent of which are exported with the "Made in Italy" seal, is as convincing as it was in the pioneering days: The company has never lost sight of its vision of optimizing the world of elevators, lifts and all vertical transportation. The Italian manufacturer also places a great emphasis on first-class product design.
Stylish down to the accessories: first-class product design
Over the years, IGV's experts have developed many solutions that precisely meet its customers’ needs - from passenger elevators to revolving doors. In addition to its unusual vision, the company showed a corporate attitude that has become quite rare today: The production site was never outsourced and Giuseppe Volpe and his successors always looked ahead. The company has the most modern equipment for laser cutting and sheet metal bending, which has increased its level of precision. Today, motors, drives and controls are produced at a very high technical standard.
The best-known product by the traditional company is its DomusLift in many variations. The company knows that an elevator not only makes life between floors easier, but that it can significantly enhance a building interior. This is reflected in IGV’s impressive product range from Extrasmall to Extralarge: Since DomusLift is available in XS, S and XL, it adapts seamlessly to any external situation.
The DomusLift is classically equipped with revolving doors. However, upon request, the elevator can be fitted with automatic sliding doors, which changes the entire appearance of the vertical transport means. This is something you should bear in mind: If you are looking for an elevator tailored to your personal wishes, the Italian company is always ready to listen to challenges and work on unique solutions.
Because the DomusLift adapts perfectly to any environment, it also increases the value of the property - including in in terms of design. The DomusLift is also convincing in that it requires hardly any structural changes. Thanks to its minimal shaft head height and extremely shallow pit depth, it can usually be installed very easily.
Please do before construction: Plan your elevator in time
Of course it is always a good idea to add elevators when planning the construction of a building. If architects, planners and construction companies agree on elevator solutions in advance, these can be included in the total budget. And speaking of the budget: The DomusLift is also inexpensive in terms of energy consumption. Another plus point: IGV elevators can be easily connected to a standard 230V mains supply. And this voltage is available nearly everywhere. That should help keep the required paperwork prior to putting the elevator into service to a minimum.
The company itself describes the DomusLift as its crown jewel. In fact, the hydraulic elevator can upgrade any environment by adding a stylish and exclusive atmosphere to it. Some special versions have a particularly appealing look: MADE WITH SWAROVSKI® ELEMENTS is a real eye-catcher, but the "Liberty by Trend" version also has many fans. This is where alternating smooth, wavy, chrome-plated and iridescent hand-cut glass parts create fascinating light reflections.
DomusLift - a fascinating variety
Refined surfaces are also available with the "Light Touch" version of the DomusLift: This attractive designer version creates a powerful atmosphere via special lighting with a touch screen panel. The "Leather", "Carbon" and "Chrome"versions also provide special effects- just like the "Art Line", for which the elevator is transformed into a small, limited museum. For those who prefer classic wooden structures and the feeling of comfort they provide paired with state-of-the art mobility, the company offers the "Classic" DomusLift. The "Classic" has additional features that represent a classic feel-good atmosphere - something that people with reduced mobility may also appreciate.
The numerous versions have a lot in common despite all their individual subtleties: They are all highly functional - and can be used from cellar to attic for up to seven floors. IGV also offers sophisticated features when it comes to safety and security: The infrared light barrier on the access side guarantees a high level of safety, while the key switches on the panels prevent unauthorised use. And if the power should ever fail, the cabin can be automatically lowered to the next floor, where you can then easily exit.
The specific accessories for passenger elevators, which are of course available at Hauer’s elevatorshop, range from motor-driven door openers to control units, panels and motors. As IGV is one of Hauer’s major distribution partners, Hauer usually has a wide range of its spare parts in stock. It only takes a few seconds to find what you’re looking for at the elevatorshop - and you can then add the required spare parts to your notepad or directly to your shopping cart.
